Hello my name is Chris and I am new to the Central Oregon community and a newly signed up Big Brother. I was matched in a school-based program back east and I am looking for advice. What are some cool activities do with your Little here in Central Oregon? Thanks

Hello Chris! Welcome to Central Oregon and BBBS program here. Fun things to do include the BBBS sponsored activities such as tubing, ice skating, camping, etc. My Little Sister and I like the tea shop downtown and McMenamins Old St. Francis school for $3.00 movies and yummy tater tots. There is free bike rental downtown through BBBS. Lots of great hiking all around. The High Desert Museum is really cool and you can check out a free pass through the public library. Hope this helps! Welcome to Central Oregon!! I hope that you have started to find out why this is one of the best places in the country. I could list over 50 things to do in this area. However, I could give better suggestions if you communicate the types of things you and your little enjoy. Indoors or outdoors, sports or arts?
I spend a lot of time playing sports with my little. In addition, we spend a ton of time hiking (Todd lake, Tumalo Falls, Paulina Lake), fishing (everywhere), skating, movies. climbing (InClimb Gym), paintballing and a ton of other stuff.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions! Me and my Little Bro really like the outdoors and once it warms up, we look forward to spending more time outside. I have also heard that the High Desert Museum is deluxe.

Hi Chris!! Welcome to Bend! I’ve been Sierra’s big sister for about two years, and she LOVES to go anywhere where she can flash her “Little Sister” card and get a discount! Really seems to get some sort of deep satisfaction out of it! High Desert Museum is awesome. Sometimes she just comes along on errands with me, which for some reason she thinks is cool! Have fun, and congratulations on being such a great addition to our community!
